Child pornography found posted in playground at Puyallup park

Child pornography was found posted at a Puyallup park, and police are trying to figure out where the images came from and who would display such graphic images on a playground.

A 16-year-old boy found a collage of child porn glued to a slide Friday.

He tore it down and took it home, where he called police.

“We have the images, and we’re going through to check if they’re new images or old images,” said Capt. Dan Pashon.

The images will be run through a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database to determine whether the child porn was taken off the Internet or if there might be a new victim to be identified.

In the meantime, Pashon said, officers have increased patrols near the park.

No other images have been found.

It’s unknown how many others might have seen the disturbing pictures before they were removed.

“No child deserves to have their innocence taken away like that, and it’s beyond sickening,” the sister of the teen who found the images told KOMO News.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Puyallup Police Department’s tip line at 253-770-3343.
